PRESIDENT Dan McLaughlin is a Religious Studies Teacher at Calgary Catholic’s Bishop O’Byrne High School. He is married to Lynne with three young children and has been active in the fields of Religious Education and Youth Ministry for more than 20 years.

Nicolas Simoni is a Teacher Chaplain at Bishop Grandin High School in Calgary, Alberta. Nicolas is a passionate religious educator who is married to Sarah and has five beautiful children.
TREASURER
Carl Fakeley is a Religious Education teacher at St. Joseph's High School in Red Deer and the Past President of the Religious and Moral Education Council.
WEBMASTER Warren Kirilenko is the coordinating Religious Studies Teacher at Bishop O'Byrne High School in Calgary. He has built and managed many websites including the one for his Church, his photography business, and his environmental company.
CONFERENCE DIRECTOR Mark Nixon, B.ED, D.Min, has a background in chaplaincy, secondary education and collective agreements within a Christian focus. In 2018, after 28 years, he retired from the ministry of chaplaincy and teaching. He is married and has two children, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. Presently, he is the Executive Director of Martha Retreat Centre, Lethbridge.
PEC LIASON Darrin Bauer is a teacher at St. Francis Xavier High School in Edmonton. He is in his 25th year of teaching and looks forward to contributing to the great work RMEC does for Alberta teachers. He is the ATA Provincial Executive liaison to the Council and is the Vice-President of the Alberta Teachers' Association.
Publication Editor Elaine Willette-Larsen is a member of the Provincial Executive Council of the ATA and has been a great supporter of RMEC for many years.
